This tool runs fully offline and can't "see" the image contents β€” you write the description, and it checks the wording for common accessibility issues. Use the scaffold as a starting prompt, then replace the placeholders with what you actually see.
Tips for effective alt text:
  • Describe the content and function, not just "image of…".
  • Keep it concise β€” aim for roughly 5–15 words (under ~125 characters).
  • Don't start with "picture of" or "image of" β€” screen readers already announce it's an image.
  • Convey context: why is this image here, what does it communicate?
  • Use empty alt="" for purely decorative images.
